Some businesses charge you call outs and site surveys but not us. Our customers often take advantage of our free site visits and we think this is one of the most important aspects of the service we provide. We get to know exactly what you need and, as a customer, you will be happy that we have taken the time to learn more about your requirements.
The process is simple. We ask for a £100 deposit for orders of less than £500. For anything over this amount, the deposit will be 25%, then there is nothing to pay until the marquee is delivered.
We are well prepared for various types of surfaces and as long as there is room to erect the marquee, concrete and other hard surfaces shouldn’t be a problem. Our marquees are suitable for most surfaces but we will need to set things up differently for hard ground. Instead of using pegs, we’ll use heavy weights to anchor your marquee. Whether the ground is soft or hard, we’ll make sure the marquee is fully secure.
There is often some confusion on what to call a marquee or party tent. They are in fact both the same thing and you can call it either one or the other depending on where you are from. We use both to avoid any confusion. In the UK people usually call them marquees. We do sometimes hear our marquees being referred to as gazebos but these are smaller lightweight structures – the kind you might find in your local hardware store. These are not the same thing and nothing like as robust as the solid structure underpinning our marquees.
To ensure everything goes smoothly we like to arrive 2 days before to give enough time not only to erect your marquee but also to give time to set everything up inside. For example, seating, tables or dance-floors may be required as well as decorations and flowers. Weddings may require more than 2 days to set up so we will plan around this and give extra time if needed. When your event is over we will be back to dismantle your marquee in one or two days.
There are two things that will decide the size of marquee you’ll need; the number of guests and the size of your site. We do a free site visit to assess the site and find out more about your requirements so we can deliver the right marquee for your event.
Don’t forget to over estimate rather than underestimate the amount of space and the number of guests just in case you have some unexpected arrivals at your event. You never know if you’ll need the extra space and it won’t be ideal if some guests have to sit outside the marquee because there isn’t enough room.
If your site isn’t a perfect square and let’s face it, many gardens are not, then we are used to dealing with odd shaped spaces too.
